1. Who we are
Squirrel Self-Storage Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We're based at Behind Adventure Wonderland, Merritown Lane, Hurn, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 6BA. You can reach us by email at squirrelcontainerstorage@gmail.com or by phone on 07817 555523.
2. What we collect
When you submit our enquiry form, contact form or quote calculator, we collect what you type in: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, ideal start date, what you're storing, and any message or item details you give us. If you request free collection, we also collect the collection address and any access instructions you provide. We don't collect payment details through the website.
3. How we use it
We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and arrange storage or collection if you go ahead. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for marketing unless you separately ask us to keep in touch.
4. Cookies & similar technology
Two things on this site can set cookies or use similar device data:
- Spam protection (always on). Our enquiry form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real visitors apart from bots. This is strictly necessary for the form to work, so it doesn't require your consent under UK law.
- Analytics (only with your consent). We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It only loads after you accept the cookie banner — nothing is set beforehand, and you can decline or change your mind at any time by clearing the choice stored in your browser.
5. Who we share it with
We share enquiry details with the following processors, each bound to protect your data and only use it to provide their service to us:
- Resend — delivers the enquiry notification email to our inbox.
- Cloudflare — verifies enquiry form submissions aren't spam (Turnstile).
- Google — analytics, only once you've accepted cookies.
- Vercel — hosts the website and processes requests to serve it to you.
We don't sell or rent your data to anyone else.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting storage agreement, and then delete it. If you become a customer, your details form part of the signed storage agreement and are retained under its terms.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, or ask for a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email us. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
8. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes. Check back occasionally if you want to stay current.
