Squirrel Self-Storage is an independent storage facility near Bournemouth Airport. We started it because the big-name places felt expensive, fiddly and faintly miserable — and storing your things shouldn't be any of those.
Our story
We have no greater pleasure in life than filling up containers.
In truth, it's become a bit of an addiction. There's real satisfaction in taking a big, empty, clean steel box and packing it neatly to the brim — and we wanted to share it at a price that didn't sting.
So we set up shop just behind Adventure Wonderland, filled a yard with secure Corten-steel containers, and put up a sign. No glossy reception, no upsells, no nonsense — just solid storage and a fair weekly rate.

Each unit is a full 160 sq ft — over 150 sq ft of usable floor space. As a rough guide that comfortably holds the contents of a three-bedroom house, or one to two Luton van loads.
Just behind Adventure Wonderland on Merritown Lane in Hurn, about half a mile from Bournemouth Airport with direct links to the Wessex Way. Head in as if visiting Adventure Wonderland, then continue straight ahead instead of turning into their car park.
